- Pump and OPV wear from heavy household use. High daily volume wears a vibration pump and an OPV faster than average. I gauge pressure at the group first, then test the pump under load, and replace whichever part the numbers actually show is failing.
- Faster scale buildup on well water. Well water with more mineral content scales a boiler quicker than municipal water does. I open the machine and check the boiler and lines directly rather than trust a descale cycle alone to keep up on a well-water house.
- Thermal cutout tripping under sustained use. Running a Dual Boiler through many back-to-back cycles for a household and guests can trip a thermal cutout that is starting to fail. I meter the cutout and the thermostat separately so the fix is the actual failed part, not a full heater swap.
