What we do. What we fix.

A repairable espresso machine earns a real diagnosis

Once a home espresso machine crosses into dual-boiler or heat-exchanger territory, the internals stop being a kitchen appliance and start being the same E61 groups, rotary pumps, and PID boards we work on in cafes all week. A Rocket R58 or an ECM Synchronika on your counter is closer kin to a two-group cafe machine than it is to whatever came before it. It deserves a tech who treats it that way.

We repair home espresso machines across the Bay Area, including San Francisco. That means every Breville espresso model, plus DeLonghi, Gaggia, Rancilio, Lelit, Olympia Express, Rocket Espresso, ECM, Profitec, Jura, Miele, La Marzocco, and similar repairable machines.

What we cover

  • Olympia Express: Cremina 67 through the current 49 mm Cremina, plus Maximatic
  • Rocket Espresso: R58, R58 Cinquantotto, R NINE ONE, Appartamento, Giotto, Mozzafiato
  • ECM: Synchronika, Elektronika, Technika, Classika, Mechanika
  • Profitec: Pro 700, Pro 800, Pro 600, Pro 500, Pro 400
  • La Marzocco Linea Mini
  • La Marzocco GS3
  • Breville Barista, Bambino, Oracle, Oracle Touch, and Dual Boiler lines
  • DeLonghi, Gaggia, Rancilio, and Lelit pump and boiler espresso machines
  • E61 group rebuilds, flow-control paddle service on the machines that have one
  • Dual-boiler and heat-exchanger circulation faults
  • Rotary and vibratory pump service, OPV calibration
  • PID controllers, thermostats, and heating elements
  • Descaling and preventive maintenance on plumbed-in or reservoir-fed setups

Symptoms we see all the time

No pressure or weak shots. A worn OPV, a tired rotary or vibe pump, or a gicleur restrictor clogged with scale. We put a gauge on it and read the actual number instead of guessing at the grind.

Temperature that won’t hold or surfs mid-shot. PID sensor drifting, a heating element on its way out, or on the dual-boiler machines, slow thermosiphon circulation between the brew boiler and the group head.

Steam wand losing its punch. Low boiler pressure, a worn steam valve, or the wand tip and pickup tube scaled shut. Common on a machine that’s gone a year or two past its last descale.

Group head weeping or dribbling after the shot. A group gasket gone hard, the E61 three-way valve not releasing pressure, or on a machine running flow control like a Synchronika or a Pro 700, the paddle valve due for a rebuild.

Machine won’t power on or trips the breaker. Usually a failing element shorting to ground. Stop using it and call. That’s not a wait-and-see problem.

Dose or grind drifting on your grinder. Worn burrs or a slipping adjustment collar. We can pick up the grinder with the machine and quote it separately, since it is half the reason the shot tastes off.

How pickup and bench service work

We pick up the machine, diagnose it on the bench, and bring it back. Pickup and return are included across 56 Bay Area cities plus San Francisco for coffee equipment. No lugging the machine across the bridge.

The deposit is $150 for standard brands, $175 for Jura, Miele, and La Marzocco home machines, and $250 for Olympia Express Cremina and Maximatic machines. It covers pickup, bench diagnosis, and return, and is not credited toward the repair. Bench time beyond the deposit is $150 per hour, or $175 per hour for Jura, Miele, and La Marzocco. Diagnostics can take up to a week; most repairs run three to four weeks.

We carry common wear parts such as gaskets, valves, and seals. We confirm repair timing after diagnosis. Boiler and electronic parts we source and quote a straight timeline for.

Brands we service

Rocket, ECM, and Profitec build the same architecture, dual-boiler and heat-exchanger machines running an E61 group, just Italian on one side and German on the other. We service all three as independent technicians. We’re not a dealer for any of them and we don’t hold a factory authorization on the brand; we work on the platform because it’s what we do all day on the commercial side.

Olympia Express takes a different route. Cremina is a compact Swiss lever machine, and Maximatic uses a pump and heat exchanger. We service both independently, including lever-group seals, boiler heat and pressure faults, pumps, valves, and scale.

La Marzocco’s Linea Mini is cafe internals in a home body, and we service La Marzocco commercial equipment every week. On La Marzocco specifically, we want to be straight: our factory training is on the calendar for August 2026. We’re not going to claim a certification we don’t have yet. What we can tell you today is that we’ve worked on plenty of these machines and we diagnose them properly.

We don’t take household capsule and drip machines from Keurig, Nespresso, or Cuisinart. DeLonghi espresso machines are accepted. Nespresso Professional commercial equipment is accepted too.

Why homeowners call us

Based in San Ramon, same crew, same trucks, and the same CSLB license and EPA Section 608 Universal certification behind every commercial call we run. BBB A+, 4.9 across 600+ reviews, working since 2021. Your Linea Mini or R58 gets the technician who worked on a two-group cafe machine that same morning, not a specialist who only ever sees one brand.

Honest repair timing

A repair queue is easier to avoid than to rush.

We pick up the machine, diagnose it on the bench, and return it. Pickup and return are included, and you get the repair quote after diagnosis.

Diagnostics can take up to a week; most repairs run 3–4 weeks. That is exactly why we recommend preventive maintenance. A maintained machine does not sit in a repair queue for a month.

What do customers ask about Home Espresso Machine Repair?

  • Do you pick the machine up and bring it back?
Yes. Pickup, bench diagnosis, and return are included in the deposit. You do not have to carry the machine to a shop or haul it across the bridge.
  • Which machines do you work on?
Every Breville espresso model, plus DeLonghi, Gaggia, Rancilio, Lelit, Olympia Express, Rocket, ECM, Profitec, Jura, Miele, La Marzocco, and similar repairable espresso machines.
  • Do you fix Keurig, Nespresso, or Cuisinart machines?
We do not take household capsule and drip machines from Keurig, Nespresso, or Cuisinart. Nespresso Professional commercial equipment is different, and we do service it.
  • Are you authorized by Rocket, ECM, Profitec, or La Marzocco?
La Marzocco, yes: our technicians completed La Marzocco factory training in August 2026 and we operate as an authorized La Marzocco service company. Rocket, ECM, and Profitec, no. We are an independent service company on those brands and work on them because E61 groups, heat exchangers, and dual boilers are what we do all day on the commercial side. You get a written quote before any work, and CSLB #1136642 behind it.
  • What does pickup and bench diagnosis cost?
