FAQ

Questions, answered.

The things people ask before they book. Pricing, brands, coverage, and who shows up when your machine goes down. Straight answers, no sales pitch.

Booking & pricing

Booking, pricing, and payment.

  • Do you charge for a diagnostic visit?
Yes. The diagnostic is $75, and we waive it when you approve the repair. You get a written quote before any work starts, so the invoice never surprises you.
  • How does a quote work?
We diagnose the machine to the actual failure, then hand you a written quote before we touch anything. Nothing gets done until you approve the price.
  • Do you warranty your repairs?
Yes. Completed repairs carry a parts and labor warranty, with the exact term depending on the part. Consumables like gaskets and filters run about 90 days, and major components like boilers, pumps, and control boards run longer. We put the warranty terms in writing before we start.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
Card, check, ACH, and HouseCall Pro online checkout. The invoice goes out the same day we close the job.
  • Do you use genuine parts?
Yes. We use OEM and genuine replacement parts wherever we can get them, including genuine Astoria, CMA, and Wega parts through the RCW distributor. We diagnose to the actual failure before we quote, no guessing by parts swap.

What we service

What we service.

  • What kind of coffee equipment do you work on?
Commercial espresso machines, batch brewers, super-automatic and bean-to-cup machines, coffee grinders, water filtration and softening, and the plumbing and electrical that feed them. Single-group counter machines up to multi-group setups.
  • Who do you work with?
Cafes and coffee shops, restaurants, offices, hotels, quick-service and fast-casual, and convenience stores. Anywhere a machine going down means lost service, we are who you call.
  • Do you handle descaling and routine maintenance?
Yes, and it is the cheapest thing you can do for a machine. Scale and worn gaskets cause most of the failures we see. We descale boilers and lines, replace seals and screens, check pressures and group temps, and service the grinder and water filtration on a schedule that fits your volume.
  • Do you repair grinders?
Yes. Burr replacement and calibration, motor and switch faults, and dosing and timer issues on both espresso and batch grinders. A worn burr quietly wrecks your shots long before it dies, so it is worth checking.
  • Can you handle water filtration?
Yes. Most espresso machine failures trace back to water. We install and service filtration and softening sized to your water and your volume, which protects the boiler and keeps the cup tasting right.
  • Do you install machines too?
Yes. We set up new and relocated machines, including water, drain, and electrical, and dial in pressures and temps before we hand it over.

Brands & Franke

Brands and certification.

  • What brands do you service?
16 brands and counting, including La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli, Victoria Arduino, La Cimbali, Faema, Rancilio, Astoria, Wega, CMA, Slayer, Synesso, Franke, Schaerer, WMF, Eversys, and Jura. See the brands page for the full list.
  • Are you certified on Franke?
Yes. Andrew is a Franke certified service technician, trained on the A-Line and McDonald’s in-house technician (IHT) programs in 2026. The certificates are on our about page.
  • Do you work on La Marzocco?
Yes, we service La Marzocco. We are an independent service company, not a La Marzocco factory dealer, but the work is the same: real diagnosis, genuine parts where we can get them, and an honest quote.
  • Where do you get Astoria, CMA, and Wega parts?
Through RCW, the US distributor for those brands. That means genuine parts rather than knockoffs, which matters on pressure components and boilers.
  • Are you authorized by every brand you service?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We are an independent service company. We are Franke certified and we have genuine parts access for Astoria, CMA, and Wega through RCW. For other brands we service the machine on its merits without a factory authorization.

Emergency & response

Emergency and response time.

  • How fast can you come out?
Most calls inside the Tri-Valley get a same-day or next-day slot. East Bay is typically next-day. A machine down during service goes to the front of the line, because we know what a dead bar means on a Saturday.
  • Do you offer emergency or after-hours service?
Yes. The line is (925) 999-4095. A cafe or kitchen with its only machine down mid-service is exactly what after-hours is for. We work the dispatch from there based on the issue.
  • My machine has no pressure or no steam. Can you help fast?
That is usually a pump, a boiler element, a pressurestat, or scale, and it is the kind of failure that shuts a bar down. Call us and we prioritize it. We diagnose to the real cause instead of swapping parts and hoping.
  • Do you only do commercial, or homes too?
We focus on commercial coffee and espresso equipment. That is what we are built for, from a single cafe machine to a full multi-group line.

Service area & credentials

  • Who actually shows up to the job?
Andrew Kuznetsov, the owner, is lead tech on most calls. When a second tech comes, it is one Andrew trained personally on the same playbook. No call center, no subcontractors.
  • Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. CSLB #1136642 with the California State Contractors License Board, EPA Section 608 Universal certification, and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We carry a 4.9 rating across 594 reviews under our parent company, ADRIUM Service Solutions, same owner and crew.

Yes, through our sister brands. ADRIUM Service Solutions handles appliance repair, and Bay Area HVAC Service handles heating and cooling. Same owner, same crew.
