- Heating element underperforming on a long circuit run. On estate properties with a long wire run from the panel, I check actual voltage at the outlet before replacing a heating element that is only starved for power. Swapping a good element will not fix a voltage problem.
- Worn pump or drifting OPV. Same failure I would check anywhere: I gauge the group for real pressure, test the pump, and check the OPV before replacing either one.
- Thermostat or cutout failure on a heavily used Dual Boiler. A house built for entertaining runs the machine through more cycles than average. I meter the thermostat and cutout separately so the replacement matches the part that actually failed.
