Breville service in Palo Alto when brewing changes but grinding does not
If the grinder still behaves normally while brewing slows or stops, say so in your Palo Alto pickup request. Record the Breville model and whether the change appeared with the same preparation routine. A taste complaint alone is different from absent water or a leak.
We assess the machine-side symptoms at the bench and explain the findings. A slower extraction does not by itself justify replacing the pump; coffee preparation and the water circuit must be distinguished.
Keep the comparison simple
Note the settings used when the behavior changed and any recent basket or cleaning change. Avoid altering several variables before describing the original fault.
Know when to stop testing
Abnormal noise, leakage, or an electrical trip should end the trial. Collection can be arranged without making an unsafe demonstration.
Pickup, assessment, and return
Standard deposit: $200. Additional bench work: $150 an hour.
The deposit pays for collection, bench diagnosis, and delivery back to you. It is not a credit against the repair charge. We seek your approval for the proposed repair.
Allow up to a week for diagnosis. Most repair jobs run 3–4 weeks; confirm the status of your own machine with us.
Repair coverage: parts 6 months; labor 6 months; consumables 90 days. A return of the same repaired fault is corrected without another charge.
