- Group gasket and seal leaks. On a Linea or GB5 running back-to-back shots, the group gasket flattens and starts leaking around the portafilter. We replace the gasket and dispersion screen and check the grouphead seal so the seal actually holds.
- Rotary pump and 9-bar pressure. If your shots are running thin or the pump's gotten loud, the rotary pump or OPV is usually the culprit. We test pressure under load and bring it back to spec.
- Scale in the coffee boiler. Dublin water is hard. Scale chokes the boiler and throws off temperature. We descale, check the heating element and pressure stat, and talk water treatment so it doesn't come right back.
