What breaks. What we fix.
Jura Repair & Service
Jura builds bean-to-cup super-automatics that show up in offices, hotel lobbies, small cafes, and self-serve counters all over the Bay Area. One touch, fresh grind, a cup of coffee or a milk drink, then the next person walks up and does the same thing. That convenience is the whole point, and it’s also what wears these machines out. We service Jura professional and prosumer equipment across the Tri-Valley and East Bay, and we keep it honest about what we are.
What we are with Jura
We’re an independent service company. We’re not a Jura-authorized dealer and we don’t claim factory training on the brand. We service the machines, set them up right, and fix what breaks. If your unit is still under Jura’s warranty, we’ll tell you so you don’t spend money you don’t need to. Most of the Jura equipment we see in the field is well past that point and running daily commercial loads it was never babied through.
Jura series we work on
- Professional / X-Line: X8, X10, X6 super-automatics built for offices and higher daily output
- GIGA series: GIGA X8c, GIGA X3, GIGA 6 (dual-grinder, higher-volume bean-to-cup)
- WE / W series: WE8, WE6 for small offices and waiting areas
- Prosumer: Z-line, E-line, and S-line units that end up in breakrooms and small front-of-house spots
What breaks on a Jura
Most Jura calls come down to a handful of things. The brew unit is the heart of the machine, and after enough cycles the gears wear, the seals harden, and you start getting short pours, grounds in the cup, or an error that won’t clear. The grinder dulls or jams on oily beans. The thermoblock and internal lines scale up on our hard Bay Area water, which kills temperature and flow. Milk systems clog with dried protein and stop frothing, or the fine-foam line gums up. Drainage and the drip tray float sensor act up. And the control board or a worn pump throws a fault that sends people hunting for the manual.
How service works
We pick the machine up, diagnose it on the bench, and return it. The $175 deposit covers all three steps and is not credited toward repair. Extra bench time is $175 per hour. Diagnostics can take up to a week; most repairs run 3–4 weeks. Typical work includes brew-unit rebuilds, grinder service, descaling, milk-system cleaning, pump and valve work, board diagnosis, and sensor or seal replacement. We give you a written quote before repair starts.
Call (925) 999-4095 or email [email protected]. We’re 7AM to 7PM, seven days, and we will confirm an honest pickup window.
From a recent job
An Alamo customer’s Jura automatic had stopped running right. Following the internal water line, we found a broken plastic connector on one of the water hoses; it could no longer hold a seal. Replacing that one connector brought the machine back. A few photos from the bench:

Jura questions, answered.
-
My Jura shows Error 8. Worth repairing?
Usually yes. Error 8 is a brew group fault: cleaning, re-greasing, or a drive part. Routine service, far cheaper than a new machine. -
Do you repair home Jura machines or only office ones?
Both. We take home and office Jura machines, including GIGA, X-line, WE-line, Z-line, E-line, and S-line units. We pick them up, diagnose them on the bench, and return them. -
The coffee comes out thin and lukewarm. What's wrong?
Scale in the thermoblock plus a tired brew group seal is the usual pair. A full service brings the machine back: descale, group service, new seals. -
Do you service office fleets?
Yes. We arrange machine pickup around the office schedule and document each service.
