On top of the coastal corrosion, the water out here is still hard, so the boiler scales up the same as anywhere on the Peninsula. We descale and filter so the machine keeps working through both problems at once.

- Corrosion and fitting replacement. Salt air pits steam wands, drip tray screws, and exposed brass fittings faster than inland use ever would. We swap the corroded parts and clean up what's still good.
- Steam wand and milk system service. Corrosion plus dried milk is a bad combination on a steam wand, and foaming suffers on both counts. We tear the wand and milk system down, clear it, and replace anything that's pitted through.
- Descale and boiler service. Hard water scales the thermoblock no matter how close you are to the ocean. We flush the heater and add filtration so it holds temperature.
