WMF coffee machine repair across the Bay Area

WMF super-automatics are workhorses. You’ll find them in office break rooms, hotel lobbies, convenience stores, and high-volume cafes because they pour a consistent cup with very little staff input. When one goes down, though, it tends to take a whole floor’s coffee with it. That’s where we come in.

Bay Area Coffee Service repairs and maintains WMF commercial coffee equipment. We’re an independent service company, not a WMF factory dealer. We work on these machines, we stock common wear parts, and we know the failure patterns. If a job needs a WMF-proprietary part or a software update we can’t source, we’ll tell you straight instead of stringing you along.

What we service

• Super-automatic bean-to-cup machines: the 1100 S, 1500 S, 5000 S, 9000 S, and the Espresso line.
• Milk systems: the Dynamic Milk and Easy Milk modules, foamers, and the lines that feed them.
• Grinders, brew units, and ceramic burrs: the parts that take the most abuse on a busy machine.
• Water and steam circuits: boilers, pumps, valves, flow meters.

What actually breaks on a WMF

The brew unit is the heart of these machines and the first thing to wear out under volume. Pucks stop ejecting cleanly, the unit jams mid-cycle, or grounds back up into the chute. Milk systems are the second big one. The Dynamic Milk module is great when it’s clean and a headache when it isn’t. Scale buildup and dried milk residue choke the foaming valves, so the texture goes flat and the machine throws milk-system errors.

After that it’s the usual high-use suspects. Worn brew-unit seals that leak or drop pressure. Grinder burrs that have lost their edge and pour a sour, under-extracted shot. Boiler and heating faults that leave you with lukewarm coffee. Flow meters and pumps that drift out of spec. Water filtration that got ignored until the whole hydraulic side gummed up. A lot of the error codes people panic over come down to maintenance that slipped, and those are straightforward to identify on the bench.

We service WMF equipment as an independent shop. We are not factory-authorized by WMF, and we don’t claim to be. We have certified technicians on the Franke A-Line platform and our techs apply that super-automatic experience across brands like WMF. The $150 deposit covers pickup, bench diagnosis, and return and is not credited toward repair; extra bench time is $150 per hour. Diagnostics can take up to a week, and most repairs run 3–4 weeks.
