Bunn Crescendo bean-to-cup repair for a Union City restaurant
Tribu Grill, a Union City restaurant, runs a Bunn Crescendo for their coffee. It’s a commercial bean-to-cup machine that grinds, doses and brews on its own, which also means a lot of small rubber and silicone parts working hard every single day.
Problem: By July the machine was leaking whenever it ran, and the mixer kept backing up. Not something you can work around during service.
Diagnostics: We came out on July 15 and opened it up. The brew path was simply worn out: valve diaphragms and O-rings that had lost their shape, seals that no longer held, silicone lines gone stiff and brown from coffee oils. One part wasn’t going to fix it. We recommended the full annual maintenance, hoses and gaskets included, and ordered the kit.
Solution: Once the kit arrived we came back and rebuilt the brew path in place. Every worn part came out: valve diaphragms, seals, O-rings. Every silicone line was swapped for fresh tubing. The brewer and grinder path got a deep clean before everything went back together.
Result: Full brew cycles tested before we handed it back. The Crescendo went back into service on September 1, with the ristretto, chocolate and French vanilla hoppers back in place. Eric left this on our Google profile the same day:
“We have a Bunn Crescendo that wasn’t operating properly. They determined it needed an annual PM kit and now it is running well”
