What breaks. What we fix.
La Cimbali repair, done by people who actually know the machine
La Cimbali builds some of the heaviest-duty espresso hardware in any commercial kitchen. The M100 and M200 traditionals are workhorses, and the S-series and Q10 super-automatics show up in offices and grab-and-go spots all over the East Bay. When one goes down mid-shift, you lose money by the hour. We fix them.
A quick note on where we stand, because we don’t fudge this. We’re an independent commercial coffee equipment service company. We are not a factory-authorized La Cimbali dealer, and we don’t claim certifications we haven’t earned. What we bring is years of hands-on work on Italian traditional and super-automatic platforms, the right tools, and parts sourced through our distributor network. If your warranty needs the factory channel, we’ll tell you straight.
What tends to break on La Cimbali equipment
On the M-series traditionals, the usual suspects are group solenoid valves that stick or leak, brew group seals and gaskets that harden over time, and steam wand valves that drip. The Turbosteam units (the auto-frothing steam system on machines like the M40) have their own quirks, mostly around the temperature probe and the air intake clogging with milk residue. Heating elements and pressure switches wear out. Pumps lose pressure or get noisy.
On the S-series and Q10 super-automatics, it’s more about the brew unit and the grinder. Brew groups need periodic rebuild kits. Grinder burrs dull and throw off dose consistency. The milk system tubing and the internal valves scale up if the machine sees hard water and skips descaling. Electronic boards and displays fail less often, but when they do you want someone who can diagnose before throwing parts at it.
What we do
We handle diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, descaling, gasket and seal replacement, group rebuilds, grinder calibration and burr swaps, steam and brew valve work, pump and pressure issues, and electrical faults. We carry common wear parts and order model-specific components through our supply partners. Most repairs we can knock out in a single visit once we’ve diagnosed.
Diagnostic is $75, and we waive it if you go ahead with the repair. We run 7AM to 7PM, seven days a week, and we move commercial outages to the front of the line. If your café or kitchen is dead in the water, say so when you call.
