La Marzocco Linea Mini repair in San Anselmo
Problem: The owner of a La Marzocco Linea Mini in San Anselmo called us because the machine wouldn’t power on. No power, no espresso. We picked the machine up and brought it to our bench.
Diagnostics: We took the covers off, drained the boiler and went through the electronics and the boiler controls. The control board had burned out. We found two more problems along the way. The pressure gauge was broken. The pressurestat, a pressure switch on the boiler, needed replacing too. The group head diffuser and gasket were also due.
Solution: The owner approved the repair. We replaced the control board, the pressure gauge and the pressurestat. We also put in a PM kit, which is a new group head diffuser and gasket.
Result: This Linea Mini now has a new control board, gauge and pressurestat, plus a fresh gasket and diffuser at the group. The group gasket and diffuser are wear parts. When the machine is already on our bench for a bigger repair, that’s the easy time to replace them. We pick up and repair La Marzocco home espresso machines around the Bay Area. We take Marin County jobs case by case.
