Schaerer super-automatics are built to run all day in offices, hotels, and high-volume cafes. When one goes down, the line stops moving and so does your morning. We pick up Schaerer equipment across the Bay Area and San Francisco for bench service.

We’re an independent service company. We are not a Schaerer factory-authorized dealer, and we won’t pretend to be. What we are is a crew that’s spent years inside commercial coffee gear and knows how these machines fail. If your shop is under a Schaerer warranty or service contract, tell us first so you don’t void anything.

What breaks on Schaerer machines

The grinder and brew unit take the most abuse. On the Coffee Soul and Skye, the brewing chamber gums up with coffee oils and old puck residue, and you start getting weak shots, slow extraction, or grind-too-fine errors that never clear. We pull the brew unit, clean or rebuild it, and reset the dosing so the cup is right again.

Milk is the other big one. Schaerer’s Best Foam and the milk pump systems are great when they’re clean and a headache when they’re not. Texture goes flat, the line clogs, or the system throws a temperature fault. We trace it from the fridge fitting through the heat exchanger and frother.

Then there’s the usual hardware. Drainage faults and overflow, boiler and heating element failures, leaking valves and seals, touch-screen and software lockups, and water-side trouble from hard Bay Area water (scale in the boiler, weak flow, error codes that won’t reset). We descale, replace what’s worn, and dial the machine back to spec.

How it works

The $150 deposit covers pickup, bench diagnosis, and return and is not credited toward repair. Extra bench time is $150 per hour. Diagnostics can take up to a week, and most repairs run 3–4 weeks.
