What breaks. What we fix.
Rancilio repair for Bay Area cafes and restaurants
Rancilio machines are built to grind through a high-volume shift, and most of the ones we see have been doing exactly that for years. The Classe line is everywhere in this part of the Bay, from a single-group Classe 5 in an office kitchen to a three-group Classe 11 holding down a busy morning rush. When one goes down, you lose the bar, so we treat commercial outages as priority calls.
We’re an independent service company. We service Rancilio equipment and stock common wear parts; we are not a Rancilio factory-authorized dealer, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we are is a crew that knows these machines and shows up when you call.
What tends to break on Rancilio equipment
A lot of Rancilio trouble traces back to water. Hard local water scales up boilers, heat exchangers, and the level probe, which is what’s usually behind a machine that keeps refilling, throws a low-water fault, or won’t come up to temperature. We descale, swap probes, and check your softener so it doesn’t happen again in three months.
The other big bucket is brewing and steam. Group solenoids stick, gickler jets and group screens clog, and the saturated brew groups on the Classe series need their seals and screens serviced on a schedule. Weak or uneven shots, drips that won’t stop, no pressure on a group, a steam wand that’s lost its punch, those are the calls we run most.
Then there’s the electronics and pump side. We handle pump and motor replacement, pressurestat and pressure-transducer issues, gicar/control board faults, display and keypad problems on the Classe 9 and 11, and PID temperature drift on the Specialty RS1. On the Egro NEXT super-automatics we work through brew-unit jams, grinder and dosing faults, and the milk-system cleaning cycles that keep them serving.
What we service
- Classe 5, 7, 9, and 11 espresso machines, single through three group
- Specialty RS1 and other PID/pressure-profiling setups
- Epoca traditional machines
- Egro NEXT super-automatics for offices and self-serve setups
- HSD-ROC and Kryo grinders, including burr replacement and calibration
- Boiler descaling, gasket and screen service, solenoid and pump work, electrical and board diagnosis
How it works
Diagnostic is $75, and we waive it if you go ahead with the repair. We’re out 7AM to 7PM, seven days a week, and we keep the parts that fail most often on the truck so a lot of jobs are one visit. For parts we don’t carry, we source through our RCW distributor partner.
