Astoria Espresso Machine Repair
Astoria machines are built to run hard. Plenty of Bay Area cafes, restaurants, and offices lean on them for years because they’re straightforward and the parts hold up. But any traditional espresso machine that pulls hundreds of shots a day will eventually need a tech, and that’s where we come in.
We service Astoria across the Tri-Valley and East Bay. We’re an independent service company, not a factory dealer. We get Astoria parts through our RCW distribution partner, which keeps common components on hand and turnaround reasonable. We’ve been working on Astoria gear since 2021.
What we work on
Astoria’s lineup covers a lot of ground, from the workhorse semi-automatics in busy cafes to the super-automatics you find in offices and convenience stores. We service the traditional volumetric and semi-auto machines (Plus 4 You, Storm, Tanya, Greta, Sabrina, Gloria, Argenta) and the super-automatic line (Hybrid, Sabrina SAE and similar bean-to-cup units). If you’ve got an Astoria badge on the side, call and tell us the model.
What breaks on Astoria machines
Most of what we see is wear, not failure. A machine that’s been pulling shots since open has thousands of cycles on its valves and seals.
- Group head and brew valves. Worn group gaskets, leaking solenoids, and channeling that throws off your extraction. Group seals are routine wear, especially on multi-group machines under volume.
- Steam and hot water valves. Leaky steam wands, valves that won’t fully seat, and worn wand tips. On a busy bar a sticky steam valve slows the whole line down.
- Boiler and heating. Scale buildup on the heating element, faulty pressurestats or temperature sensors, and slow recovery between shots. Hard water in parts of the East Bay speeds this up.
- Pumps and pressure. Rotary pump wear, pressure that drifts off spec, and the OPV losing its setting. We gauge it and dial it back in.
- Electronics and dosing. On volumetric and super-auto models, flowmeters that read wrong, dosing that drifts, and control board faults that throw error codes.
How we work
Diagnostic is $75, and we waive it if you go ahead with the repair. We run 7AM to 7PM, seven days, and we push commercial outages to the front of the line because a dead machine costs you the morning rush. We carry common Astoria parts so a lot of jobs get fixed on the first visit.
The honest version
We service Astoria. We’re not a factory-authorized Astoria dealer, and we don’t claim to be. What we do have is years on these machines, a parts pipeline through RCW, and a crew that treats a down espresso machine like the emergency it is for your business.
