Franke Coffee Machine Repair in the Tri-Valley

We're Franke-certified and factory-trained, and we repair Franke A-Line super-automatics across the Tri-Valley. That covers the A300, A400, A600, A800, A1000, SB1200, and Mytico in offices, break rooms, restaurants, quick-service spots, and convenience stores. We're based in San Ramon and run this corridor every week. You get a real diagnosis and a written quote before any work, from a tech who already knows the machine.

Our Franke certification

In June 2026 we completed two certifications from Franke Coffee Systems N.A. in Smyrna, TN: the Franke Technical Certification Training for the A-Line (fully and semi-automatic), and the Technical Certification Exam for McDonald's IHTs. Both are current and listed on our Franke page. Franke trains its own service techs on these platforms, and that's the training we went through.

What breaks on Franke A-Line, and how we fix it

The brewer unit takes the most abuse. Pucks stop ejecting clean, the brew chamber binds, or extraction goes weak and watery because the group is fouled or a seal has failed. We pull the brewer, clean or rebuild it, and replace the seals that quit rather than chasing the problem with settings that won't hold.

The FoamMaster milk system is the other big one. Foam goes flat or inconsistent, the milk line clogs, or the unit won't draw because the air valve or pump is gummed with old dairy. We strip the milk circuit, clean or replace the valves and lines, and confirm the system primes and foams right before we leave.

Grinders are next. Worn burrs throw off dose and grind consistency, and a machine that used to pull a tight shot starts running fast and sour. When the burrs are past spec we swap them and recalibrate the dose, instead of nudging settings to hide worn parts.

Then there's the water side. Flow meters drift and the machine over- or under-fills. Pumps lose pressure. Boilers and heating elements fail or fur up with scale until the temperature won't hold. Scale is behind a lot of it, so we descale, check the flow meter, and test the pump and boiler to get the readings honest again.

Last is the control boards and touchscreens. Screens go dark or unresponsive, error codes lock the machine, or a board fault drops a function. We read the codes, test the board and harness, and replace the part that's actually failed.

Descaling and maintenance

Most of the expensive Franke failures we see started as scale and skipped maintenance. Tri-Valley water is hard, and it builds up in the boiler, the flow meter, and the valves until something quits in the middle of your morning rush. Regular descaling and a maintenance cleaning cost a fraction of a boiler or a board, and they keep the shots consistent in between. If you run these machines hard, put it on a schedule. Tell us your volume and we'll set one up around it.

We run the Tri-Valley from San Ramon

We're dispatched out of San Ramon, so the Tri-Valley is close. We cover Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore in the core, plus San Ramon, Danville, Alamo, and Blackhawk up the San Ramon Valley. Because we're local, we're not driving in from two counties away to look at your machine. We can usually get to you same or next-day.

Questions commercial operators ask

How fast can you get out here?
A down machine is lost sales, not a minor annoyance. Working the Tri-Valley out of San Ramon, we can usually be on-site same or next-day. Call us and we'll tell you straight when we can be there.
What's the diagnostic fee?
$75 to come out and diagnose the machine, waived if you go ahead with the repair. You get a written quote before we do any work.
Do you carry parts?
We source Franke wear and failure parts, the things that go on these machines most often. If a job needs something specific we'll order it and give you the timeline in the quote. We don't open a machine and leave you guessing.
Which Franke models do you service?
The A-Line super-automatics: A300, A400, A600, A800, A1000, SB1200, and Mytico. We're also certified on the McDonald's IHTs, which run on Franke. Fully and semi-automatic both.
Do you offer scheduled maintenance?
Yes. We can set up a descaling and maintenance schedule around your volume so the machine gets serviced before it fails. Tell us how many drinks a day you're pulling and we'll build it around that.
Why use a certified tech instead of whoever's cheapest?
Because guesswork on a super-automatic gets expensive fast. We're factory-trained on the A-Line, so we find the actual fault and fix it once. A cheaper tech who's never been inside a Franke usually means a second visit and a bigger bill.

Get it fixed

Call us or send a message with the model and what it's doing. We'll get out to you, usually same or next-day, run a real diagnosis, and give you a written quote before any work starts. The $75 diagnostic is waived when you go ahead with the repair. Licensed and certified: CSLB #1136642, Franke factory-trained.
